COVID-19: Recovery rate drops from over 50 percent to less than 33 percent in J&K, reveal figures | KNO

Srinagar, June 06 (KNO): Recovery rate of COVID positive patients that was over 50 percent before 20 days has slipped to below 33 percent in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. As per official figures available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), on May 15, out of 1013 cases, 489 were active and 513 had recovered while as 11 had died, so recovered cases were more than active cases. Figures suggest that May 23, out of 1569 positive cases, 774 were active and same number that is 774 had recovered besides 21 deaths which means recovery rate was 50 percent. However, on June 06, out of 3467 positive cases, 1126 have recovered which signifies that 32.47 percent of the cases had recovered. In Kashmir division, out of 2615 cases, 935 have recovered which is 35.75 percent while as in Jammu division out of 852 cases, 191 have recovered which means 22.41 percent. In district Anantnag, out of 383 cases, 155 have recovered which is 42.33 percent, Srinagar has 38.64 percent recovery rate, Kulgam has 13.93 percent, Kupwara has 28.70 percent, Baramulla has 33.12 percent, Shopian has 38.43 percent, Bandipora has 70.10 percent, Budgam has 49.29 percent, Pulwama has 10.65 percent and Ganderbal has 61.19% in Kashmir division. In Jammu division, Jammu district has 33.5 percent recovery rate, Ramban has 11.90 percent, Udhampur has 22.48 percent, Kuthua has 34.28 percent, Poonch has 4.41 percent, Samba has 40.35 percent, Rajouri has 9.6 percent, Doda has 2.7 percent, Reasi has 15 percent and Kishtiwar has 23.52 percent—(KNO)
